We work for everyone, so we are considering all possible options

Majid Davoodi, P.Eng. (Chief Metallurgist / Process Engineer, Cameco Corporation, Vancouver, Canada) wrote "Scandium in a Nutshell: Is Scandium the next Industry Changing Metal?" in Linkedin. More

He made a lot of mistakes. I wrote about it. One of the comments: "Majid Davoodi, P.Eng. wrote an article in the pulse. He made a mistake.  Laterite   is not a mineral". This remark caused a great discussion. You can read the discussion here.

For example, Nicholas Welham (Principal Consultant at Welham Metallurgical Services, Australia) wrote: "...To use one simple, but relevant, example - around 75% of nickel resources are in lateritic deposits, in those deposits there are few, if any, nickel minerals that would be found in a mineralogists list and the vast majority of nickel is not within the nickel mineral but as a substitute in other minerals, e.g. goethite and serpentine."

I answered him: "Nicholas Welham. I understand your pain. Australia has laterites and for you it is important. Laterite is a product of weathering of aluminosilicate rocks in conditions of a moist tropical and subtropical climate.
Other countries have a cold climate and other ores. They do not care about the  laterites problem.
We work for everyone, so we are considering all possible options.

If in China they eat with chopsticks, this does not mean that we should not use forks."
