GOLD is not FOOL'S GOLD!

Ben Murphy  (Mineral Processing / Sales Development, Denver, Colorado, US) wrote "Am I selecting the best equipment for the job or just the equipment I know?" More

One wrote about Flash Flotation: "Gold, chromite, galena, sphalerite and also porphyry ore can be applied examples in the literature ..."

I answered: "You want to say that you can get the gold concentrate in the process of your head?
Can you imagine how many chemical reactions must occur before the collector will be fixed on the surface of gold?

Gold has a very large delay in the flotation. Flash flotation is not suitable for the flotation of gold.

The remaining minerals are also questionable. We analyzed dozens copper sulphide deposits within the same region. Only one field was getting reasonable to use "copper head"."

One wrote: "....as it can be applied after well studied the mineralogy, Laboratory flotation test, Pilot plant..."

I answered: "Why pay big money for useless work (Laboratory flotation test, Pilot plant)? You can explain to me?

Many of the things you have suggested are not possible from a theoretical point of view and are absolutely useless from the practical side."

This is the worst decision I've ever met (Flotation for large particles of gold). There are standard solutions that are more effective.

Bianca Newcombe (OptiFroth Solutions) replied that "she flotats FOOL'S GOLD (pyrite)." But, they tell everyone, that they flotate gold.

Gold is not FOOL'S GOLD (pyrite)!

I answered: "You confuse the concepts:
!. You confuse the flotation of pyrite and gold. These are different technologies. How can you leave them in one row?
2. Pyrite and gold float in any machina de flotation. For flotation of gold, it is advisable to use Self-aerated mechanical flotation machines, but not a Flash.
3. In addition, I will write again "The goal is to get FINISHED flotation concentrate in the head of process."
For gold, this is not possible. What is the quality of gold concentrate you got? 15 grams per ton?
But this is not the purpose of Flash flotation. You got confused and confused people.
