Mineral or metal? What is the difference?

The most famous stock exchanges where they successfully trade METALS:

• New York Mercantile Exchange  (NYMEX)
• London Metal Exchange (LME)
• Shanghai Gold Exchange (SGE)
• Tokyo Commodity Exchange, Inc. (TOCOM)

If you ask to sell you minerals, they will tell you:  "Sorry, mister, we can not help you, it's the metal exchange. We trade metals here!"

 Can you name me at least one place where they successfully and massively trade in minerals?
