Only people who are late for modern science, they measure and compare "flotation rate constants" today

This is a page MEI Blog. http://min-eng.blogspot.cl/2017/11/flotation-17-conference-diary.html
They write about "Flotation '17 Conference"

Claudio Schneider of CETEM, Brazil, presented the results of a campaign: "The measured FLOTATION RATE CONSTANTS do not vary with composition thus demonstrating bubble transport control."

My comment:

1. If we compare such modern mathematical tools and "flotation rate constant" then it is possible to draw an analogy with two cars: one of which has precise speedometer with recording of speed values (direct mapping of speed at any given time); another car has only a ribbon tied on the top of antenna by which you can indirectly judge the speed ("speed constant"). What car is better for you? Any comments are simply unnecessary.

To date, there are: universal equation of flotation kinetics and also formula for the direct calculation of the flotation velocity (rate) of Ph.D. Igor Bobin

These mathematical tools allow you to describe adequately the kinetics and dynamics of the flotation process. Thus you can see and use directly the current value of the flotation velocity at each time point.

2.  The density of the particles is not critical for flotation. It's not gravity separation.

3. It's strange to me that they chose flotation, not traditional methods of separation. Maybe because he is cunning and the composition of the ore is much more complicated?
